Robyn Davidson is one of Australia’s best loved authors. A pioneer travel writer, her 2,700 km camel trek with a trio of grumpy ungulates across the sun-struck deserts of Central Australia was memorialised in 1977’s Tracks, which became an acclaimed film in 2013. Unfinished Woman is her long-anticipated memoir, more than twenty years in the writing. It rewinds not only to the childhood loss of her mother, but also to the extraordinary nomadic life that followed.
